Midnight Hues

Black Studded Crop Top - Missguided
Black Sleeveless Shirt Dress - H&M
Black Heeled Boots - Topshop

The layered dress combo is fast becoming a favourite in my wardrobe. After actually writing down on here what I've bought and how often, I've decided to take out a spending ban on clothes for a little while. Especially as me and my boyfriend are trying to save for and up and coming adventure we are planning. I went a bit black mad when putting this outfit together, the crop top was a buy from my recent(ish) Missguided haul that I keep banging on about. I really wanted it in white, but they had sold out. I've been layering it with all sorts but this is definitely my favourite. The dress is super old from H&M but I still love it, especially as the waist line sits perfectly above the hem of the crop, hiding it completely and fooling everyone into believing that it is actually a skirt.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, mine was spent watching Iron Man 1 and 3, chilling in the garden and being anxious on a rowing boat.

Powder Blue

Midi Shirt Dress - Topshop
Blue Cropped Jumper - H&M
Pale Nude Flat Shoes - Office

The sun is finally here!!
I had a busy morning preparing orders to send out, but was pretty free this afternoon, so me and my lovely mother headed to our local park for a walk and an ice cream. It was just delightful ha ha.

I'm really enjoying the mesh/sheer pieces that are around at the moment. I was creating a mental wishlist whilst scouring the internet (as you do) and I found this gorgeous shirt dress in the Topshop sale. I had been admiring it for a little while, but the sale price just gave me the added push to get it. I headed to my nearest Topshop to see if they had any left, and low and behold I found a size 8 hiding underneath a mountain of clothes, waiting for me - it was clearly meant to be.

Cropped jumpers are another crush of mine right now, easily transforming dresses and creating a whole new outfit to add to your very own catalogue of clothes. I have A LOT of cream knitwear, so when faced with the option of getting this jumper in cream or powder blue, I very nearly went for my safe colour. But then I imagined my mom/boyfriend/friends saying 'haven't you already got that?' (as they do every time we go shopping) so went for the blue instead. It has a gorgeous zip detailing on the back, which I cannot wait to wear half unzipped with a pair of high-waisted shorts when the weather presents itself for more than one day.

I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and taking full advantage of it.

Lacey Love

Black Dungarees - Missguided
Pink Lace Crop Top - Missguided
Black Heels - Topshop
Floral Clutch - Dorothy Perkins

I wore this last night for dinner and drinks in Birmingham for my best friend's birthday. We went to an amazing new restaurant/cocktail bar called Fleet Street Kitchen. If your in Birmingham then I definitely recommend it.

I mentioned in my last post that I went on a bit of a Missguided haul, and this outfit was also from that purchase. I'm so so impressed with everything I got, bang on trend and lovely quality. Yesterday my Mom got some Dorothy Perkins vouchers through the post from some card she has signed up to. She kindly gave them to me so I went and got this AMAZING bag for a bargain £5. All the girls were commenting on it last night, so I figured I chose good ha ha. As I've mentioned before I tend to stay away from prints, but wanted to get a few more pieces in my wardrooooobe. So I thought this clutch would go with most of my outfits for nights outs, without clashing. It's really beautiful fabric and has so many colours in that would pick out bits and pieces from all colour palettes. It picked out the pink in my lace crop perfectly. My shoes are also new (uh oh too much buying recently) I went to London on Tuesday with my Mom and of course we headed to Oxford Street for the amazing Topshop. I fell in love with these and thought they were quite reasonably priced for Topshop heels. They are also super comfy as the strap really holds your feet in place.

That's all for now. I hope you've had/having a good weekend.

Coachella Chic

Black Sheer Cape - Missguided
Printed Crop Top - Asos
High-Waisted Shorts - New Look

I put this outfit together in the wishful/dreamlike thinking that I would be going to Coachella and as I took the photos it began raining cats and dogs - daydream over. Once again I switched my shorts for jeans and added a couple of layers to make it plausible for the weather we're receiving at the moment. I bought this sheer cape after a little haul from Missguided last week, the quality is so nice especially as it was only £13.99. Can't wait until it starts getting a bit warmer so I can style it to it's full potential. I bought this crop during my splurge on Asos that I mentioned in my last post. I tend to stay away from prints unless they are pretty florals or cute patterns, but since blogging I've noticed it might do my wardrobe some good for a few safari inspired printed pieces. Please excuse my bare feet, I have no summer shoes.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Me and my boyfriend went to the beach today and had a great time taking hilarious photos, so be prepared for a silly photo post coming soon haha.

Monochrome Magic

Black Midi Dress - Asos
Faux White Leather Gillet - H&M
Jeffrey Campbell Litas - Oxygen Boutique

So first of all, apologies for the moody face in the above picture, apparently red lipstick acts as some sort of glue resulting in me being unable to smile. Also I wasn't just casually having a nap while taking blog photos - I was looking at the ground, at... urmm... something really interesting? Ha ha. Not sure what's going on with my hands either, mid-action maybe?

Anywayyyys now onto the interesting stuff. I got this dress through yesterday from the lovely postman Pat, after going on a bit of a splurge on Asos. And I love love love it, I have a similar midi length, clinched waist one from Toppers, so I knew this would fast become a favourite in my wardrobe. I thought I'd go all monochrome by adding my little white gillet, and spice it up a little with a red lip. Monochrome is such a classy colour palette and it really doesn't matter what size, age, height etc you are, or even what style you have, everyone can pull this cheeky trend off.

That's all for now. Hope you are having a lovely Saturday.

Floral Denim

Floral Cami Top - Kate Moss for Topshop
High-Waisted Light Wash Joni Jeans - Topshop
Tan Chunky Heels - Topshop
Bracelets - Stella & Dot and Reiss
Necklace - Estella Bartlett

So I bought these jeans from Topshop a couple of weeks ago after reading multiple bad reviews online. Apparently the stitching starts to come away at the side seams leaving white fabric/threads visible from the outside. I don't know if it's because I have gone for a light wash or just that I choose a lucky pair, but this hasn't happened to mine yet (touchwood) Aside from all this I absolutely love them, I don't think there has been a comfier pair of high-waisted jeans ever made. They are super stretchy and kind of like a nicer version of jegging material. I cannot wait for the summer when I can start wearing outfits like this without switching my heels for thick socks and boots and having to layer up with every warm item in my wardrobe.

Whereeeeee are you summer? I miss you terribly.
