Copenhagen: Subtle Shades

Nude Shirt Dress - Topshop
Black Leandra Heels - Topshop
Black Croc Bag - Charity Shop
Lipstick - MAC Dark Side

After exploring Copenhagen and visiting the zoo on Friday, we had organised to meet up with some friends in the evening. My friend from university lives in Copenhagen, and another one of my friend's from uni happened to be over there at the same time as us, so we all met for cocktails in a bar called Boutique Lize. It was so nice to catch up with the girls, and it happened to be happy hour from 8-10 pm so we definitely made the most of that. We then moved onto a pub down the road and played the hardest drinking game I've ever played. It involved dice and some sort of guessing game, we were too busy trying to figure out how to play, that we didn't even drink when we guessed wrong haha. We bought some crazy Danish shots, one that tasted like vix and another that tasted like mouth wash. They were so strong that my boyfriend experienced his first hangover the next day, which was very amusing for me as I felt fine.

You may remember this dress from my Powder Blue post. I decided to keep it pretty simple as I was stressing about what to wear. I didn't know what the bar would be like, so I thought a midi shirt dress would fit all possible locations. This dress is perfect for those times when outfits cause stress, as it's all set for you and all I needed to do was add some heels and a statement lip. No necklace was needed, as the gold top button adds that little bit of sparkle to your neckline.

It's officially the weekend, and the sun is shining! YAY!
I'm off out tonight for cocktails - it's becoming a Friday tradition haha.
Have a great evening.

Copenhagen: Print School

Grey Midi Dress - New Look
Neon & Monochrome Printed Top - Topshop
Studded Leather Jacket - Zara
Black Cut Out Leather Boots - Miss Selfridge
Black Croc Bag - Charity Shop
Dainty Rainbow Bracelet - Buvy

Hello Strangers!
I apologise for being absent from my blog for quite a while - a week and a half can seem like 2 years in the internet world can't it? I was super busy sending out orders and attempting to pack at the beginning of last week. But I did set up a couple of scheduled posts to hit the web while I was out of the country - as you can tell they didn't work! Any-who I am back from amazing Copenhagen with a couple of outfit posts in the pipelines. After 2 hours sleep and a 2.30 am start, we arrived on Thursday at about 11 am. We spent the beginning of our trip cat-napping and then we tried to get our bearings with a mammoth walk into town. These photos were taken on Friday, we planned to go to a Zoo we had read up about online before leaving. They had polar bears there, and an underwater tunnel where you can see them swimming (see photo collage below) - it was so amazing! We stumbled across a hedge-maze on the way to the zoo, which was so pretty. We got lost trying to find the middle and gave up ha ha.

I bought this midi dress in the New Look sale just before I left. It's clear that I'm a midi dress fiend, and if it's stylish and comfy then, well, just get into my wardrobe already. It was a bargain at only £7 and I love the length as it is slightly shorter than my other midis. I threw over my new neon and monochrome printed top, to add a little dimension to an otherwise plain outfit. My bag was also another massive bargain that I got just before I left. My usual go-to-handbag is quite big and as we were only allowed one bag of hand luggage on the plane, this became an excuse to search for a new but small everyday/goes-with-everything-bag that I could throw into my suitcase last minute. I was going to head up to Birmingham to look for one, but I walked past a charity shop and thought I would take a look. I found this beautiful one in there for a minuscule £3! It was perfect for my trip and I wore it all holiday - which you will soon see in the following outfit posts! I added some new bracelet designs to my shop at the beginning of last week - the rainbow bracelet is one of them, you can check out the other's here.

I'm off to watch Hangover III tonight - so excited!
I hope you are all having a great week.

Inspire Me: Flower Power

All photos found on pinterest & tumblr

Welcome to the second dose of Inspire Me. Prints are well and truly becoming my number one crush. If I was 13 I would be scribbling them all over my notepad surrounded by an array of unusually-shaped hearts, but I'm not - so I'll settle for a bit of inspo to show my love haha. Those of you that may follow me on instagram (@pavenrayat) will notice that my feed is full of food, fashion and flowers. So combining the latter two is just delightful. There are so many beautiful blossom trees in bloom, and what better way to welcome the summer sun than by adding a bit of floral fondness to your outfits.

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.

Peace & Pastels

High Waisted Joni Jeans - Topshop
Pink Cami Top - Topshop
Cream Knit Cardigan - Topshop
Nude Snake Skin Flats - Office
Layered Necklaces - Topshop & Estella Bartlett

What happened to trying something new, I hear you cry. Well, you know, if pastels are calling your name in the morning, you just have to go with it. This was my super comfy, simple outfit today for errand running and similar activities. I am still in love with my Joni jeans and with cami tops. I got this pink one as 1 of out 4 items with my £100 Toppers voucher I won. I know I said in my last post that you would be surprised with what I had bought, and you are now thinking that a plain pastel cami is hardly surprising. Well, just wait until you see my other purchases.

I am SO excited for my trip to Copenhagen next week! I am looking forward to forcing my boyfriend to take some super swanky outfit photos on the streets of Denmark - whether he likes it or not haha!

I added google friend connect on here the other day, and to be honest I have literally no idea how it works. But if you use it, then go ahead and give me a cheeky follow. I much more of a bloglovin' girl, if you are too you can follow me here.

Prints Party

Monochrome Under Dress - Primark
Floral Slip Dress - Topshop
Black Leandra Heels - Topshop

Now we all know that prints aren't my forte, and clashing prints - well, that's a phrase my wardrobe would slam it's doors at. But in a bid to try something new, and as part of the WIWT F&F Seven Days of Summer Competition, I put this print party ensemble together. I'm still not 100% sure that the patterns go together - but I guess that is kind of the point. As I mentioned in my last post that I had been feeling uninspired, I took that opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and try something new. It's amazing what new outfits become available to you, when you are up for styling them in a different way you are used to.

The main reason of starting my blog was to centre my style, and keep an eye on what I'm wearing too much of and how I can expand. I've never really thought that I had a 'style' before, but it became apparent to me that I like to stick to muted tones and prints are a no-go. Therefore I've recently been consciously adding prints and colour to my wardrobe. No-one wants to be stuck in a style rut, so I figured it's time to break the mould. Obviously I'm not going to turn into some super crazy fashionista and buy anything and everything that is out of my comfort zone - but I'm adding those extra pieces that will take my wardrobe from an array of creams and pastels to something with a little more depth. You'll probably be surprised when you see the few pieces I have bought so far with my Topshop voucher (that I got when I won style star of the week on TIW) I'm saving them for my Copenhagen trip in just over a week's time. I've already prepped my boyfriend on the amount of outfit photos he will have to take for me, and am mentally planning my packing as I type.

I hope you're having a great week so far.

Inspire Me: Sheer Shadows

All photos coursety of pinterest

I've decided to add a new feature to my blog. As of late, I've been feeling totally uninspired by my wardrobe and surroundings, which you may have noticed from my lack of blogging. So I've decided to do something about this, and introduce to you 'Inspire Me' - a weekly feature which I am adding to pavendeep to let you know what is pushing my buttons each week. I am a self-confessed pinterest and tumblr addict, and thought it would be exciting to share with you what I'm loving.

This week I am totally crushing on white and off-white sheer fabrics. There is a lot of sheerness floating around on the high street and online, and there is some really beautiful pieces. I think the key to this trend is to master the juxtaposition between sheer and non-sheer. Layering is vital, and classy undergarments make up as much of the outfit as the sheer overlays. I'm heading to Copenhagen at the end of the month, and will definitely be looking out for a couple of wardrobe staples that fit into this category.

I hope you like this new feature, and I hope you are having a great weekend.

Sweet Macaroon

Black Cami - Topshop
Pink Skater Skirt - The Moving Rail
Oatmeal Knit Cardigan - H&M
Black Leather Boots - Topshop
Gold and Pink Jewel Necklace - Forever 21

Please excuse my moody expression in the first photo. Usually my face is masked by my lion's mane, but today my hair was a little more wild than usual so I tied it up. My mom said I looked like those chinese ladies that wear chopsticks in their low bunned hair with silk kimono ensembles. I don't know if it was meant as a compliment but I took it as one.

I am so happy that the weather has lifted and it actually feels like we may just have a summer this year. The sunshine is making me bid a not-so-sad farewell to those stupid tights, and get my pins out for a bit of much needed vitamin D. I decided to leave my black cami untucked from my skirt to make it a little less uniform. I would buy this cami in every colour if it wouldn't been seen as completely excessive. For only £18, it makes an amazing alternative to basic jersey, and is just such a lovely fabric and fit. My favourite cardigan makes yet another appearance, as I've said before it goes with everything and is super comfy - it's pretty much like wearing a dressing gown, without the weird stares you'd probably get.

So I mentioned in my last post that I was going to stay off the spending for a bit, in a bid to save up for an adventure. Buuuuuuuut I won £100 worth of Topshop vouchers for being Today I'm Wearing's style star of the week! So I just HAVE to spend and add some new pieces to my wardrobe. If you haven't heard of Today I'm Wearing, or better known as TIW - it is a social media website where people can share their outfits. They also have an app which I use more often as it is easy on the go. And yeah, I won this week, which I am super happy about. If you would like to read my Style Q&A with them, you can check it out on their blog HERE.

I hope you are all having a lovely Friday.
